Passion, integrity, creativity and humility
Just some of the words that have been used to describe our lead consultant. This part of our business is led by Geoff Morris, who has worked in senior roles in the non-profit and education sectors over past 20 years. He has held CEO roles at two charities: the children’s charity: Wooden Spoon and the mental health charity: Working Well Trust. Geoff was also Head of Special Events and Corporate Fundraising at Barnardo’s.
Geoff’s fundraising experience has been gained at the sharp end: juggling the day to day running of an organisation with the constant need to raise funds. He has personally secured funds from: the European Commission, government departments, local authorities, trusts, foundations, membership schemes, corporate partnerships, major events and philanthropists. He will run up and down mountains, quite literally, to get the job done!
Most recently, Geoff led significant anniversary celebrations for both the University of Cambridge and University of St Andrews. The Vice-Chancellor of Cambridge, Professor Alison Richard, said of Geoff and his team that they “continued to pull rabbits from hats” surprising even the staunchest of naysayers at the success of the 800th anniversary. He continues to advise universities in the UK, Europe and the US since the success of his work in Cambridge.
Aside from fundraising and milestone events, Geoff works with Boards to help set and focus their vision. He enjoys mentoring and the opportunity to grow leaders and build teams. He is politically astute ready to grasp the bigger picture while engaging with the detail of an assignment.
